Project In English
Refurbishing an antique chair can be a rewarding project that breathes new life into an old piece of furniture while adding a unique touch to your home decor.
I originally found this chair at my local thrift store. Unfortunately, it was in such disrepair that the store was going to throw it away! Seeing the chair’s unrealized potential, I immediately jumped in and offered to take it home. The process was both challenging and exciting, involving careful planning, a bit of creativity, and a lot of elbow grease.

Where to find Furniture:
Your local thrift stores, Facebook Marketplace, Offer-up, Craigslist, and Garage Sales are all amazing places to source one-of-a-kind pieces.
Tips to keep it within Budget:
In efforts to remain sustainable whilst saving money, I sourced materials such as “Oops paint” from my local hardware store and remnant fabric from my local fabric store. I highly encourage you to check out the clearance and last chance sections at your local retailers- you never know what you’ll find!
In the end, the refurbished chair not only brightened up my home but also became a cherished statement piece that perfectly encapsulated my love for vintage aesthetics and modern flair.
